Bill Herring, LCSW

I received a master's degree in 1984 and I have had a private counseling and psychotherapy practice in Atlanta since 1991.  I became a  Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) in 2002.  Over the years I've written numerous professional articles.  I've been an editorial board member of the journal Sexual Addiction & Compulsivity for well over a decade.  I'm also a former board member of the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH) and I served for three years as the national conference chair of this sexual health organization.  A few years ago I was invited to write a chapter for the book "Reflections on the History of the Sex Addiction Field" to describe my involvement in the formative years of the field of sex addiction.

In 2017 I published an article titled "A Framework for Categorizing Chronically Problematic Sexual Behavior".  This article has been well-received and the journal's publisher awarded it "Article of the Year".  The framework it describes now serves as the core of "Advanced Topics In Problematic Sexual Behavior (ATPSB)" certificate training offered by SASH to therapists worldwide.  I recently enjoyed the additional career-defining honor of receiving the 2019 SASH "Carnes Award" for my overall contributions to advancing understanding of this field of study.

I am deeply committed to helping partners of chronic sexual betrayal heal their lives from the pain of complex betrayal trauma.  I am the only Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) in Atlanta who is also a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist through the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS).

Carrie Holladay

After spending a decade suffering from the impact of betrayal trauma, Carrie found a path to healing in somatic work. She discovered the power of connecting to her body and tending to the nervous system in order to truly heal and find herself again. She now has the honor of teaching it to women all of the world in their own healing journey.

Carrie is a complex trauma survivor from childhood trauma and betrayal trauma in her marriage. After years in traditional talk therapy, she felt stuck. She experienced anxiety attacks on a regular basis, struggled to trust herself or others, had frequent nightmares and lived life walking on eggshells. Then she found somatic work and true healing began. Using a body first approach, she developed greater compassion and understanding for her protective behaviors, and ultimately was able to get unstuck from the chronic survival state she had been living.

She turned her pain to purpose and is now a Trauma Trained Somatic Practitioner with The Healing Hub. She is trained in Polyvagal Theory, Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Treating Affairs and Trauma from Gottman Institute, Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness and Meditation, Betrayal Trauma, Somatic Attachment Therapy, Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, and Felt Sense Polyvagal Model for Treating Trauma and Addiction.

Jennifer Steele, LPC

“All healing is liberation” - Tracey Michae’l Lewis-Giggetts

My name is Jeni, some know me as Scabs (IYKYK). I’m a holistic betrayal trauma therapist who guides people from pain to peace. During my work, I’ve witnessed 1000’s of healing moments and I’m good at helping people trust themselves in their process.

Betrayal is brutal. In 2010, when it happened to me, I didn’t know what to do with that level of pain. The words were bubbling inside me so I began to write an anonymous blog called Eat My Scabs. This risk led me to a community of amazing people which led to the birth of Camp Scabs, a retreat for betrayed women. I deepened my study of yoga, meditation & breathwork therapies. With the support of amazing people, I continued to host Camp Scabs, podcasted Love Rice & grew my 1:1 coaching. As my understanding of trauma expanded, I knew I needed to seek better trauma-informed professional support and training. I finished my masters in counseling and work private practice in Arizona. You can find me at ArizonaFamilyInstitute.com

I know how painful it is to deal with the aftermath of betrayal because 16 years ago I experienced it too. A set of skills and a way of living that transformed my life from pain and chaos to connection and peace.

I host this annual Love You Now Conference focused on helping betrayal survivors gently shift to self-care and safety. I also host a spectacular, week-long Empowerment Retreat for betrayal survivors. Last, I offer a 12-week virtual coaching program called the REBIRTH Method. I'd love for you to join me so that I can walk you step-by-step to freedom and peace.

My message personally and professionally to all who have been through betrayal is, "You're not alone. You make sense. There is hope."

I have 5 awesome kiddos (triplets and twins), and have been married to my high school sweetheart for 15 years. I love to hike, play with my family, and watercolor.

Kendra Last, CLC

I help my clients heal after experiencing narcissistic abuse from a parent, romantic relationship, sibling, or other person. I help men and women gain sure, immovable self-confidence, so they forever create safe spaces for themselves to feel and process any emotion. I believe each human to be their own expert.  I act as a guide, helping them to see that the answers are already inside them.  I love helping my clients find the power in their own mind, and move forward creating amazing lives they love and want.
